Our Story

A founder with rice in her veins.

Kira discovered rice balls at age six and has been perfecting her craft ever since. What started as "helping" in the kitchen is now a vertically integrated onigiri operation: she sources the rice (pantry), controls distribution (the hallway), and runs customer relations (yelling "RICE BALLS ARE READY").

Every ball is hand-rolled to order, quality-checked by the Head of Quality Control (Mom), and served with the kind of confidence usually reserved for much larger companies. The menu recently expanded into sorbet and beverages, because every serious restaurant group eventually diversifies.

Is this a real business?
The rice balls are real and really delicious. The business is spiritually real. The LLC paperwork is waiting until the founder turns 18.
Do you deliver?
Anywhere in the house in four minutes or less, guaranteed. Outside the house, you have to come to us. We're a destination restaurant.
What if I have allergies?
Tell us before you order! Every order is made fresh, so we can leave anything out. Mom personally double-checks all allergy orders. This is the one question we answer with zero jokes.
Is the water really free?
Yes. We're a serious business, not a greedy one. The matcha latte is where the money is.
Can I invest in Ricey's?
Yes. We accept allowance advances, birthday money, and favorable trades involving dessert. Serious inquiries only.
What are your hours?
Weekends, plus weekdays after homework is done. Closed during soccer practice and when the rice runs out. We believe in work-life balance.
